Some requirements include (varies depending on specific position):

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must have a valid Mississippi Driver’s License.
  • Must consent to fingerprinting.
  • Must consent to background investigation.
  • Must have good references documenting good moral character, personal integrity and professional and ethical work related performance.

If you do not have access to an internet connected computer, you are welcome to come to the Sheriff’s Office Adult Detention Center (Refer to the map below for directions) and obtain an Employment Application that can be completed in writing.  Just ask the Desk Clerk on duty for an Application and they will gladly assist you.

Complete the Sheriff’s Application by filling out each of the required fields. The form may be filled out on the computer and then sent via email.
