Law Enforcement Training Academy

Opened in 2023, our state-of-the-art academy was built to prepare the next generation of law enforcement officers. What makes it stand out is our commitment to developing well-rounded professionals—officers who are skilled, disciplined, and guided by integrity, compassion, and sound judgment.

What We Offer:

  • Real-World Training: Modular, three-day scenario-based events that prepare recruits for situations they’ll face on duty.
  • Driving Range: An on-site emergency vehicle operations course for safe and effective driving skills.
  • Expert Instructors: A dedicated team with diverse backgrounds and talents who are passionate about teaching.
  • Comprehensive Curriculum: Covering law, discipline, physical and mental fitness, leadership, ethics, and building community trust.

Harrison County & Beyond

The Academy serves not only Harrison County but also agencies across Mississippi and neighboring states. Our goal is to graduate officers who are fully prepared to begin field training on day one.

Capability & Character

We offer small class sizes, hands-on instruction, modern facilities, and flexible training options. In addition to basic certification, we provide continuing education and specialized courses to meet the needs of agencies of all sizes.

Community Focused

The Academy extends training to the public through safety awareness classes, security consulting for organizations, active shooter response training, and youth engagement programs because public safety is a shared responsibility.

Facility Use

While our facility is primarily reserved for law enforcement training, portions of it may be available for use by vetted outside organizations for approved purposes. These include safety seminars, inter-agency collaboration, outside agency in-service training or community-based training. Each request is reviewed individually to ensure alignment with our mission and security standards.

Out-of-State

We are open to serving out-of-state agencies. Our programs are built to meet Mississippi standards but can be adapted to support the needs of departments from neighboring states. We see regional cooperation as a vital part of building consistent, professional public safety practices across local, state and federal jurisdictions.
